Certainly, in a communication, whatever we say to communicate should have meaning or should make sense to the receiver. Additionally, this can only be achieved if you give your ears to the person you are communicating to. Allow that person to share their feelings and thoughts — uninterrupted.
Understanding is really very important in communication. Basically, you can use Uh-huh, OK, All right, Great, Perfect, Wow, Excellent, Amazing, Good to know, I can understand, I am sorry etc.. to show understanding in communication.
If you first seek to understand, you will not only experience the obvious outcome of better understanding but will also find yourself being better understood by others.
